Today, I am going to dive deep into the first of four ways to boost energy levels--naturally

My Lemonade Story

 
I remember thinking, how, at 34 years old, did I end up like this?

Constant pain throughout my body, barely able to get out of bed, my 8 and 10 year old children basically taking care of themselves…and me… while my husband worked, and being told I'd be in a wheelchair by the time I was 50.

With that diagnosis came the fearful thoughts of not being able to live LIFE with my family.
Jumping on the trampoline, riding bikes, taking vacations, dancing at my son's and daughter's weddings, helping with grandchildren, living on our dream farm.

I made a decision one morning as I lay in bed massaging Icy Hot into my hands just to be able to grip the covers to get out of bed.  
                                         
                                             I wasn't going to go down with this ship.  

THIS isn't what I wanted my life to look like.  I wasn't going to stay stuck in this place.

That decision came with desperate determination to discover what was making me so sick and how to correct it.
That decision inspired me to research, to learn, to do some off the wall things and live life differently one baby step at a time.
That decision marked the rest of my life.

During this time, my mom had an extended illness, and eventually died.  This event was the most tragic thing that I had experienced.

We were close.  Our love ran deep.  She was my biggest cheerleader.  Mom believed in me and loved me unconditionally.  Like for real.  

She was a beautiful, strong, smart, competent woman who had overcome many ugly challenges in her own life.  I look up to her as a role model of determination, hard work, overcoming challenges, and loving deeply. 

Mom always told us kids, "When life throws lemons, just make lemonade".   She was a living example of this to us so many times growing up.

Her death was a defining moment in my life in so many ways.  One of these was a renewed energy and determination to pursue my wellness to the highest possible degree.

And you know what??  I DID IT!!

I did what Mom taught me and turned life's lemons into lemonade.  I didn't let a diagnosis define me, my fears cripple me, or how I felt break me.  It wasn't easy.  The process wasn't fun.  But I made lemonade.

I now live pain and symptom free, having more energy vitality, and strength than in my 30's.

I'm way past 50 and nowhere near a wheel chair!

Our family vacations together, I danced at my daughter's and son’s weddings, I help with the grandchildren, tussle on the floor with them and carry them piggyback around the room.  My husband and I travel together, ride motorcycles with our son and new daughter (his wife:),  and now live on our dream farm where I garden, take care of the chickens, and hike the woods with my Berner, Abby.

I have made it my mission, and it is my passion, to help people all over the world make lemonade.  I help them learn, grow, and take powerful steps toward living a life of wellness, vitality, thriving, and purpose.
